First time mom, and I have questions

Hello everyone! I am new to this forum. We just found out we were pregnant on the 23rd, so barely pregnant. I want to know if anyone else has experienced what I am going through. I am not feeling any symptoms really, my nipples are a little sore, no morning sickness, breasts arent sore, I feel a little more tired than normal, but other than that nothing. I still have little cramps every now and then. And then the other night I had a little spotting, and yesterday morning I had pinkish-reddish blood when I wiped but then it went away. I went to my doctor and she did a pelvic exam and said my cervix is closed. But its so scary to see that! Has anyone had this? And is it normal to not feel any symptoms really and still have cramping at 4-5 weeks along?

Congratulations

4-5 weeks along would mean pretty much your AF would have been due around now.

When AF (period) was due I hardly had any cramps then a handful of days later I did like AF was going to come any minute. Sadly that cramping goes on and off most of you pregnancy ... your uterus is stretching etc.

I had sore boobs & sore nipples - my boobs weren't so bad at first and through the handful of weeks sometimes they were fine. Theres time for that symptom to show yet honestly.

Sickness ... NONE odd nausea as the weeks went on but nothing else. I mean 1-2-3 times!

Tired - this was one of my symptoms too. Some days not so bad as others.

Bleeding/pink discharge - Scarey, it could be baby or infection but it could be nothing. I had it for a handful of weeks small amounts that I would only notice when visiting the bathroom problem is you know it happens so your looking more. I never needed to wear a pad at anytime ... there was no reason for it and stopped in the end.

That makes me feel a little better! Thanks for the congratualtions We are so excited because we have been trying since the beginning of the year! AF was due on the 23rd. Because of the bleeding I had an ultrasound but they said it was too early to see anything so they want to do another in a week. I had a blood draw and my hcg was 1258 on monday, and I am going in for another draw tomorrow to make sure its rising like it should. Im just scared of a tubal pregnancy or miscarriage. I havent had any more bleeding since yesterday morning. I am just trying to stay calm and relaxed. Its kinda scary being pregnant, isnt it?? Thanks for your advice and your experience

CONGRATS ON YOUR PREGNANCY.... HAPPY HEALTHY 9 MONTHS TO YOU. X X X

I think its safe to say that every woman is different.
With me, I knew by the feel of my cervix pretty much asap, that I was pregnant, this was like, 8 days before I even found out.
Your cervix stays closed when you become pregnant, and like mine, was as hard as a rock (may not apply to you though)
I have not had any sickness, not vomitted once, my boobs didnt particularly hurt, and even now they're not exactly sore, I got cramps right up until I was around 6 months, then they stopped, but occasionally they do come back.

I had the bleeding at around 8dpo, which would indicate implantation, but it wasnt pink, it was bright red- that last for a few days and then vanished all together. (until I started prodding and poking myself, but we wont go down that route)

I didnt really feel tired either- my pregnancy up until now, was pretty much symptomless, so you may be lucky and end up the same.
Once again, congrats and welcome to the forum. x

I forgot to welcome you to BabyandBump

It could indeed be too early to see the sac between week 4-5 ... Your hCG level is *good* though. we had an ectopic last year which was caught early through spotting & my levels did not go above 500 (I think it got to 300 something to be honest) at 7-8-9 weeks .... your count isn't looking worrying to me personally & going on the expected hCG levels yours is perfect. Good luck with your count though

Pregnancy isn't the best on your nerves sometimes lol

I had spotting at 8 and 9dpo, and then nothing at all until the other day. Im glad that my hcg levels sound good. It is really nerve racking! Im so glad to hear that other women didnt have strong symptoms. My mom got really sick right away and so it worried me that I wasnt, I just assumed we are all like our moms. One other thing I was going to ask about was my cramping will be on one side, and then later in the day or the next day it will be on the other. Is that normal?

In regards to cramping.. yup; I got mine mostly on the left hand side and occasionally it would change to the other.
But yes, its very normal.
