Oh, ha, well I dont know exactly what to expect. I just know the textbook answers, sore boobs, nausea, constipation, etc. I am so glad I joined this forum, its good to hear that I am normal and not neurotic and paranoid!

Congrats

I had no signs/symptoms......have never been or felt sick.

At first I thought there was something wrong with me as I didn't have morning sickness, I was reading everywhere that sickness was a sign of a healthy baby but asked MW and she said its just an old wives tale!

I never really had any PG symptoms....apart from now - the huge belly and kicks!!

I was getting what to me felt like period pain that must have been around when I'd just got PG (before I found out) but I just assumed it was my period on its way! Then when I found out I was still getting the pain.....around the date my period was due I got some pink/brown loss, I went for a scan (7 weeks) and everything was fine!

I consider myself to be extremely lucky that I "missed out" on the sickness!

Best of luck for next 9 months!

xx

I am figuring out slowly that it is more normal to not have morning sickness, at least not this early. But what about breast changes? Mine are a little bigger than normal, but not sore or swollen, not tender, and my areolas arent darker...

Mine haven't changed at all.....never got sore either! They may have got a tiny bit bigger but I'm not 100%?
I'd definately say have them measured properly......I had mine done at 5 months PG and I was wearing the wrong size & its amazing how much more easier & comfortable you are esp when PG in the right Bra!

People keep telling me that I'll be one of those people who have their baby & their tummy just goes right back to normal.....keeping my fingers crossed!

Mine haven't changed much at all defo not quickly!! Sore boobs wore off but it doesn't mean you'll get sore boobs and they got bigger in last month or 2 tops.

My doc is going to call me tomorrow with the results. I am incredibly nervous to hear them though! I have been feeling slightly nauseous yesterday and today on and off, but mostly when I dont get a chance to eat. I will tell you one thing, I have never prayed more in my life then since I found out I was prego! I will let you know how it went when I find out, hopefully my levels are rising like they are supposed to.

Im sure EVERYTHING will be fine with your bloods.
I remember when I had mine taken, man was I worried? Yup!!!
I was on the phone the next day wanting to know which results were back and which ones wasnt. I think the ones that come back within 24 hours are the blood count and the blood group- those were the two main ones that I were concerned about, as I was told no markers were found for downs at my 15 week+ scan.
I have never had my levels checked, not knowingly anyway....
Try not to worry yourself over the results as Im sure all will be just fine.
Do let us know how you get on though. As for feeling a little on the sick side, that'll teach ya for speaking too soon lol. Hope you feel better though. x

I got my results back today from my blood test. On Monday night at about 10:00pm my hcg was at 1258, and I had my blood drawn on Thursday early morning and it was just above 3500. So it doubled plus some! My doc said that my numbers would still double even if it were a tubal pregnancy, so thats scary. But arent those really painful, and extremely crampy?? I just get mostly gassy crampy, and a few cramps here and there throughout the day.

Erm where did your doctor get his qualifications (sp?) an ectopic pregnancy can be pin pointed earlier by monitoring hCG levels that will NOT double in the normal time frame & will show as static!!!

Quote:
Plateauing hCG levels with either a half-life of > or = 7 days or a doubling time of > or = 7 days have the highest predictive value for ectopic pregnancy of any hCG pattern
That hun is GREAT results

I have no idea where she got her qualifications. This is just my family doc, not my OB that did the blood test. But that quote makes me feel better
