Yesterday I went for a 6 week scan. I was a little worried that I might of had an ectopic pregnancy as I was getting a sharp pain on my left side since finding out I was pregnant. My age also concerned me, 38, first baby, but second pregnancy.

They wanted to make sure that 'little bean' was in the right place...and yep, 'little bean' is. The pain is definately subsiding now and I'm just getting the normal pulling type pains.
I have to go back in 2 weeks for another scan to check the heartbeat.

So far, so good

Thanks girls. I am really impressed with my local hospital, they really are taking me under their wing (ooops, really bad pun!!!).

Oh and those pains, they're normal, you'll be getting them for weeks probably. I got them up until I was about 5 months preg, then they stopped, and now they're back again. Apparently we all have them... dunno why though! x
