So close and yet still so far!

Hi all,

i'm just here for a bit of a grumble...

I'm 10+6 now and having had a scan at 8 weeks and no bleeding or anything I'm feeling pretty confident that everythings ok and can start to relax - except there is still the feeling that I've not reached the magical 12 weeks so cant be complacent yet.

I think i'm a bit annoyed with myself as my NHS scan date was for yesterday, but i thought i'd change it til after i get to 12 weeks, or i'd worry that everything was ok at 10+5 but could still go quietly wrong before my 12th week, so my scan isnt until next Thurs, when i'll be 12+1. Oh but how i wish i'd gone yest now!

Its been a really long 7 weeks, and its frustrating that as soon as we reach this milestone, theres still a ruddy long way to go! Who knew this pregnancy lark was so frustrating?!!!

Hope you're all well, sorry for moaning

Tx

I couldn't agree with you more. I find it all so frustrating!

I'm very lucky and haven't had many symptoms but at 8 weeks - 12 weeks is still a long way away. Also I've made the mistake of reading too much stuff online, and I've wondered whether you can ever stop worrying!!

I also haven't had any contact with my MW and there is no sign of a scan so without many symptoms some days I don't feel pregnant at all which actually scares the s*it out of me!!!

I know. I'm hoping that my bf remembered correctly, that I'm having some sort of ultrasound this Friday. I'm really going crazy not having seen or heard anything of my baby. I want desperately to know that everything's okay.

Luckily I haven't had any bleeding, but I've been having a lot of cramps and sometimes it's bad enough that I get pretty scared. I try to play it off like I'm not upset. I'm not very good at acting though!

Even just Friday seems like it's way too far from now.

I'm getting to be really drained, physically and emotionally. I think that an ultrasound would be a really positive boost for me.

Tell me about it, my symptoms have gradullly disappeared and now I don't feel pregnant at all (some say lucky you huh). I had a scan at 7 week so I know life started well for our bean but I can't help but worry. My next scan is a week Saturday and time is going so slowly it's painful. We need to keep strong ladies and positive for our lil ones, but it's so hard!!!!!. xxxx

I had those exact feelings, they are natural, time seemed to go slow from my scan at 7+4 weeks and my 12 week scan, I have had no real symptoms and its only now I have a proper bump I believe Im pregnant. Time will get quicker and before you know it your scans will be here. Its really hard waiting from 12 to 20 weeks though, so I know how you feel at the moment. Hope all goes well for you, take care XX

thanks all - i know i shouldnt moan when things appear to be going so well. I think its been a bit harder as i've been off uni for 5 weeks so had no routine, but back at it for my final semester now so time should whizz by - but given we've sold our house and are due to complete 20th March and as yet havent found anywhere to go i could do with time going slowly for a while!

Hope things go well for you all for the next few weeks til we cross the magical line into second tri - then the next phase of waiting can begin! x
