Question about medicines

Im a little worried. Last night I was so congested that I couldnt breathe out of my nose so after some research I came to the conclusion that Afrin nasal spray would be ok to use. Well today I heard that its not ok and now Im freaked out thay I already used it and did some harm to my baby. JUst wondering if anyone knows if I did something really bad or not. Thanks

I don't know specifically about that medicine, but what I would do in the future if you're worried is to turn the shower on really hot, or boil some water on the stove and breathe in the steam. Or just try drinking some water. I have a chronic problem with congestion like that and that's how I deal with it rather than relying on drugs to get by day to day.

If that is bad to use, I'm sure you're fine if you only used it once or twice. Everyone makes mistakes, or I'm sure that plenty of women do things when they're pregnant but don't know yet (smoking, drinking, taking ibuprofen, etc.) and their babies turn out fine. Don't use it again until you can ask your doctor, though.

My doc said I could use it for up to...but no more than...72 hours.
