Grrrr... Why??? RANT

I am so p***ed off today. Every week I meet with a group of women for a few drinks, a natter etc. We are between 25 and 60, but al get on well. Anyway i told them about the pregnancy today and they were all dead chuffed and excited for me but 1 really annoyed me.

This woman is the oldest of the group, has grown up kids (older than me) and grankids. Anyway she said congrats and all that but then started telling me of all these horrid stories like her daughters works as a scanner and spotted something wrong so made a friend go to doctors, and then how another person she knew waited till 12 weeks to tell evrebody and misscarried at 15 weeks, and about somebody in Portsmouth who is meant to be pregnant with a 2 headed baby....

I mean why??? I know these things happen.....

Then when I said I had cooked prawns for my lunch she started going on about food poisoning - I will only eat home cooked prawns I know are very fresh and my doctor says they are fine if you know where they are from. then she said it was about allergies. next when I ordered a small coffee she started to go on about caffeine - I only have 1 coffee every few days.

Then after all these lectures she lit up a cigarette sitting right next to me.

GGGrrrrrrr........

Sorry just had to get it off my chest.

hehe, sounds like she's trying to be nice and helpful, but lacks the social antennas to follow through.

I think i just would have interrupted her and said i really didnt want to hear about 2-headed babies atm. And if she wouldnt have stopped i would have just left i think.

About allergies btw. It's absolutely rubbish. If you have allergies in the family(both sides) its actually good to eat as much as possible of the thing they are allergic to. It will greatly reduce the chances of your baby getting those allergies. Unless you are allergic urself ofc.

My husband is lactose intolerant so i try to eat and drink as much milk and milk products as possible.
