Peppermint tea and burnt toast (if you can face it). The burnt toast works quite well but it's not to everyones taste. It was the only thing that helped with DS1. Peppermint tea is my life saver at the moment.

Also, assuming the position will releive things. On the sofa, cushions under your belly, bum in the air. Not for when you have visitors I admit!

I was bloated from weeks 6-10. It has eased now but it was awful - I looked 6 months pregnant and found it very hard to hide it!

I feel like since last weekend my belly just inflated overnight thing is I've also get a trapped wind pain everyday that comes and goes which can get quite uncomfortable. I might try peppermint tea and see if it helps!

My tummy balloons in the afternoon- my work trousers are so uncomfortable i have to open the zip and hope they dont fall down!! I dont know of any remedies or whether its something im eating. I think its just about being pregnant! I can remember from my first that the bloatedness gets better in the second trimester, however by then you may have started to show a bump anyway- but its not as uncomfortable x

I am terribly bloated as well and gets worse from drinking milk and eating yogurt, so don't know if yogurt will help, especially the kind with lots of sugar. I haven't found anything that works but I'm sure drinking lots of water would help, I just have to do it!

I may well do that for the weekends but atm i am hiding it from work due to a really bad situation with redundancies etc... so will have to wear my 'normal' ones until I tell them! (or until I split the pants LOL!)
Ah! That sucks! Maybe a bella band can hide it more discretely? That must be SO uncomfortable!!!!

Is the burnt toast similar to the charcoal thing - I'm sure my mum said she used to suck on a stick of charcoal (I'm guessing it's not recommended now )to relieve the bloating when she had me. I'm sure a vet once told me to mix some crushed charcoal in my horses feed when it had colic to relieve the gas.
