One sided cramp? *updated- it's quite normal*

I've been cramping since I implanted about 10 days ago, which hasn't suprised me, but today it's on my right side & although not really painful as such it's a sharp 'pain' iykwim.

Obviously I'm terrified it's going to mean an ectopic.

Anyone else had this?

I'm going to the docs either tomorrow or friday anyway to register my pregnancy, so I'll voice my concerns to her/him, but my docs are pretty useless.

I have been getting pain on my left side (feels like a knotted muscle and can be quite acute) the past few days. I'm further along but I understand your worry.

I'm sure it's nothing but best to mention it to your doctor. Good luck!

I remember having this kind of pain variating between both sides from wk5. It only eased up after a week!

For ectopic however, you would feel pain going to your thigh and shoulder, and would continue to get intense. One thing that did calm me down was the formation of a very small bulge from week 6, merely a line between my belly button and pubic bone to prove that my uterus is growing. Watch out for that!

Hope this helps but do mention this to your doctor for an early ultrasound!

No not even a drop of blood since my last AF & apart from feeling a little queazy I'm fine in myself.

I was just worried as it's on one side, in fact it's quite similar to ov pain.

Always something to worry about eh? lol

Go see your doctor hun but try not to worry too much,I had exactly the same thing, cramps but only on one side and was worried it meant my preg was eptopic,I had them for a few days and then they settled down,as other people have suggested try and get an early scan to put your mind at rest

I actually ran to the emergency at the end of last week because:

1. I was spotting and didnt know I needed anything until my cousin (a nurse) scared me to get my RhoGAM shot as my blood type is negative.

2. My left foot started swelling and my leg felt numb as I had most of the cramps felt on the left side. Ectopic scare!

I got the RhoGAM shot, but for ectopic the DR had me sit up straight and shook my belly sideways and asked, did that hurt? I was like, your hands or the shake! And it hadn't! So we got an ultrasound scheduled the next day and confirmed that my little peanut really was making my uterus grow!

Hope this helps too!

Hey lovely.

I've also been noticing this at my left side since I found out last week (I'm 5 wks). I've been having very mild cramps in the whole of my pelvic region but more noticeable 'twangs' at the left side. I also think this feels similar to ov pain and is worrying me slightly. It isn't there constantly and isn't a sharp pain so I'm staying positive that an etopic would cause me a lot more discomfort. If I don't get an early scan offered on the NHS I am def going private at 8 wks tho to put my mind at rest.

I'm sure we're both fine tho chick and our wee bubs are safe and sound where they should be. Let us know how you get on at the doc and push for an early scan.

Angela xxx
