Not feeling myself this week at all

I don't know what is wrong with me this week, I think I must be hormonal, but I am just not feeling right at all . I feel like crying but don't know what about. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I am going through a whirlwind of emotions. I am 11 weeks and 3 days, and it is my first baby but third pregnancy after 2 early miscarriages.

The previous miscarriages has made it quite a frought pregnancy and maybe it is just all the stress and worry from the past 9 weeks (since I found out) has just started to get on top of me. I've had 2 scans at 6 weeks and 9 weeks, both times things were fine and I have been able to locate the heartbeat with my doppler but I am still doing the whole 'what if I lose it now?' in my head constantly which I know I shouldn't be doing. I have adopted a positive mental attitude up to a point, but just phases like this makes me feel a bit overwhelmed by it all.

I think I am just putting too much pressure on myself, as a lot of you will probably understand, it is just very hard when it is something I want so badly!

oh hun, my mind has been on a similar whirlwind, this is my first pregnancy, and I feel like I am going to go crazy with worry!!

Don't keep you feelings inside, I had not told my OH about how I was feeling until this morning, when I broke down and refused to go work!! yes it was similar to a toddler tantrum!!

Hope you feel less stressed soon,

xxx

It has to! . I've heard a few people say it does get a little easier after the first trimester is over so here's hoping! Hope you have a speedy first trimester what you have left of it and time starts flying in for us

Girls I am the same. I am just over 5 weeks pregnant and a blubbering mess. Just cannot stop crying. I do not want to be like this going to mention it to the Doctor on Friday when I go. If I am going to be like this for the first three months ill be an emotional wreck.

Dublass, hope you feel better soon. Definitely say to your doctor about how you are feeling as it is a very emotionally draining time. If they don't seem very helpful keep at them as you shouldn't have to go through this, or try your local early pregnancy unit.

My doctor wasn't that helpful but thankfully the early pregnancy unit were really great and have been a great support. This forum too! There are people on here who can identify wirth how you are feeling and peer support is sometimes the best form of support you can get!

What has helped me a lot (when I am feeling a bit more positive!) is concentrating on how far I have come, not how far I have to go otherwise I'd drive myself daft! I try to be very grateful for every day I am pregnant and it is going ok, and try to remind myself that the only time pains and cramps are a concern are if they are constant, or unbearable. Though it is hard not to worry! (I am having crampy pains this morning and I am worrying myself silly with them so I know it is easier said than done).

Trying to keep yourself busy helps too, I am doing an online distance learning course and I am trying to focus on that and take my mind off it all.

Hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months . and we are all here if you need to talk

xx

I know what you mean. I was in tears last night with OH - who gently laughed and cuddled me and said everything will be fine... think he is getting the hang of my hormonal moments... All I can say is I hope the weeks start to fly after my 12 week scan next week!! xx
