Hi I just started a new year low fat healthy eating diet before finding out I was pregnant and Id just joined a gym, I mentioned this to my midwife and she seemed happy with me to continue it as she said "no-one needs fat", it may have something to do with me having a very high bmi anyway but I also read that you dont need the extra calories until the 3rd trimester, you could always enquire with your doctor/midwife or the person that runs your slimming world meeting xxx

see i'm not too bothered about the weight thing, i just need to start eating healthier and going to a class each week is great for motivation personally.

slimming world is all about eating more fruit and veg which should be a good thing surely?

i waste all my syns on alcohol and there's no worry of that anymore!

i do slimming world at the moment.

if you tell your consultant they will give you a pregnancy booklet and a letter for your midwife to sign at every appointment to say she agrees with you continuing with the plan. obviously during pregnancy the focus is on healthy eating rather than weight loss.

i have lost 2 stone with slimming world so far and have maintained since being pregnant so am hoping to keep the weight gain to a safe and healthy amount

Ive been eating really healthy since my BFP lots of fruit/vegs/yoghurts and drinking loads of water every day and i've put weight ON. Im only 7 1/2 weeks and put on 5lbs since my BFP where as before when I was eating crap my weight stayed the same and never increased.

I also have a high BMI so I'm worried the midwife will give me a telling off, I am dissapointed that ive tried so hard to be healthy and am putting weight on.
