Introducing myself - from UK

Hi ladies,

I think I am about 5 weeks pregnant, we got our BFP last week.

I am from the UK. We haven't told anyone yet and its killing me lol. I have my first doctors appointmnet next week.
Would love to hear from anyone at the same stage as me. Or anyone with some reassuring advice about the pains/cramps I keep feeling in my stomach and sides (it comes and goes and is mild!) I panic at every twinge

xx

The cramps are baby snuggling in to your womb tissue x

It feels like periods because the period is the womb tissue and baby snuggling in is the same as it coming away x

I had cramps so bad they woke me up once, but I have had a scan and am over 10 weeks now so everything is good x

Have also been having cramps on and off, more so at night, Im glad the hospital said all was ok with you. When you went for your docs appointment did you have blood tests?

No they just asked me lots of questions, checked my blood pressure, felt my stomach and gave me paperwork. It was still very exciting though.

They took blood when I was at the hopital to check my hcg levels though.

Where in the uk are you?

Welcome suze and congrats on the BFP
This forum is a great place to discuss any concerns or share insights. Is this your first baby?
The cramping you describe is totally normal as other posters have said. Your uterus will be doing an awful lot of stretching over this trimester.
