Scared light brown in mucus when I wiped

Hi I was hoping for some advice I'm around 8w4d now and last night when I went to the toilet I noticed a very pale pink tinge when I wiped with tiny hair line streak of brown in it only very tiny pint. I went to the toilet a few more times last night and there was nothing nor in the middle of the night, then around 830 this morning there was light brown spotting in my mucus but nothing now. I haven't had any pains or cramping that I'm aware of. I'm Freaking out a bit as I haven't really had symptoms except mild nausea and real tiredness also my last pregnancy (first one) resulted in a missed miscarriage which was picked up during my dating scan at 8w2d I had no spotting on that one . I'm already nervous of losing another one and this has made me worse. I don't know whether o should have but after the first wipe I've been wiping more and in some cases pushed the toilet paper slightly up to see if it got worse.

Please can someone give some advice. I have my first mw appointmwnt tomorrow morning

Hey girl,

If you think you are going to spend the entire day going in and out of the toilet and worrying I would go to the early pregnancy unit in your maternity hospital. They should offer you a scan and be able to advise you and hopefully put your mind at rest. Otherwise try to relax, spend time with your partner, family or friends or do something nice for yourself, like cinema or shopping or go out to lunch. Then meeet your mw as planned tomorrow and raise your concerns with her. I wish you all the best xxx

ive had this on 4 separate occasions and panicked every time, around how far along u are. I got in touch with midwife and gp and was told its very common and only to worry if red or comes with severe cramps. get it checked but dont necessarily panic it happens to lots of women and all is ok

I hope so . I tried to relax for a few hours (got a cold so not feeling brilliant anyway) and went tothe toilet again and again it's some brown streaks again the size of a fine hair but in with the mucus which was definitely clearer. I'm still not cramping but if I push my stomach it's a little sore, but feels more the stomach area not that low and I do get bouts of ibs. My dh is playing football so he's got the car so im confined to the house. I feel like checking with the nhs but worry I'm wasting their time. I really just hope it doesn't go red I'm scared of mc again

I'm sort of going through the same thing today. I'm just waiting to see if it gets worse. If it doesn't I'll wait till the week when I can see the midwife. I hope everything is ok for you. I know how scary it is!

Ah thanks I just read your post I hope you're doing ok. So scary I'm sure we'll be fine, ive been doing what my hubby asked me not to do as it winds me up and scouring the net and there's been lots of positive outcomes, my dh said anything that happens this time that didn't happen last time he's trying to view as a positive thing . Fingers crossed for us both xx

Hey. I'm almost 7 weeks today and for the last few days I have also had some brown spotting. From what I have read it can be normal when your uterus is stretching it can produce old blood. It can also be from penatration too. As long as there are nosevere cramps or red blood then there shouldn't be a cause for concern.

Hi casarita thanks for this, has yours stopped? Did you see anyone about it? I'd heard about old blood so fingers crossed that's what it is . I thought the 2ww was bad but the 12ww is horrendous

I haven't seen anyone about it because I am trying not to stress. I have just been taking it easy and trying to rest no sex and drink lots of water. It seems to come and go it was there again this morning.
