Scan today...UPDATE - Picture on page 4! :)

Howdy all!

I hope the Christmas and New Year festivities didn't tire you all too much!
oooo, I dunno about you girls, but I could murder and Jack and Coke!

Anyway - today came around at last - our nuchal scan and blood test results.
phew!

We are VERY excited in the Pickle house, can't wait to see cheeky chops (our new little name for bump)

It's going to be a long day, I can tell you! Scan isn't until late this afternoon.

I'm feeling the usual, nervous 'will the baby be okay / still there' way that we all feel around scan times, but I know that it's irrational fear getting the better of me.

I'm coming to terms with the fact that little pregnancy symptoms DOES NOT MEAN no baby... it just means I'm very lucky.

I hope to god all is still okay....

I could murder a sherry!!! bought a bottle for my mum and mum in law on xmas day and they only had a glass each the rest is in the cellar gathering dust till after August!!

Good luck, I am sure you dont need it and you already sound very level headed knowing most of our irrational feelings are normal/natural.

Its funny but one thing I just dont fancy is alcohol... I am just odd methinks!! But my god I fancy puddings... ooh trifle, muffins, sponge & custard, donughts!

I've noticed that you had a private scan. I'm thinking of doing the same as don't think I can wait till 12 weeks. How far on were you when you had it? Thanks.

Hi Widger! we were officially 9 weeks (but by my dates I think we were 8+5).
