I've decided to tell my department at work that I'm pregnant tomorrow. My scan isn't until 23 December but I think I need to tell them because otherwise they will guess and I'd rather tell them than them work it out for themselves.

It's getting harder and harder to keep it a secret as well, as my stomach is really starting to stick out and my boobs are getting bigger and bigger which is something that definitely won't have gone unnoticed in my department. Also, because it's our department xmas do tomorrow night, they'll notice that I'm not drinking (which will instantly give it away as they know I've also given up smoking). Then I'm not going to the firm's main xmas do on 17 December (but I haven't told them that yet) and they'll give me a hard time if they think I'm just not going. If they know I'm pregnant, then they'll understand. I've also figured that, God forbid, if anything is wrong with my pregnancy then my department will find out anyway. At least after tomorrow, I can relax and stop trying to hold my stomach in every time I stand up.

Feel a little bit nervous about it though!

Good luck, I think you are making the right choice here. I haven't told my place of work as I am not going on the Christmas do this year (ttc was one of the main reasons I chose not to accept back in Aug!) so I am deciding to wait. I think my gagging and sickness may be giving the game away though !

Am really worried about telling my dept, I only started in May, I would of only been there 15 months by my due date. Am going to try to wait til 12 weeks but I have to try to get out of ice skating at my xmas party on the 18th and also find a reason not too drink.
