I have my first midwife appointment next week too, at home.
I'm also disabled, I have a severe form of nerve damage in all of my limbs, it means that every sensation on my limbs registers as severe pain (and every sensation that the brain recognises all at the same time).
Symptoms aren't too bad at the moment, the annoying one is backache, lol, but I have to admit I'm not phased by any of the symptoms
