Delayed Appointments/Downs Testing

Hi everybody

I am sure alot of you are like me being pregnant and totally paranoid. Anyway as some of you will know from previous posts I am not getting my first scan until I will be 15+6 and my first midwife appointment until 16+5. I have been panicking about the tests for Downs Syndrome as i think I would rather know and thought that the midwife appointment was too late to do the testing.

Anyway I have just phoned the Maternity Office at my Hospital and the woman kindly advised that the blood test is carried out between 15 1/2 and 17 1/2 weeks so thankfully I will just make it!

Hopefully this will put some more minds at ease because it certainly has mine.
