| (Update and Pic-Page 2) Nuchal translucency scan today...experiences anyone? Hi everyone!
I am going for my nuchal translucency ultrasound today at 12wk4d at 2:30pm EST in the US. Has anyone gone to the doctor's for theirs yet? And if so, can you tell me a little bit about your experience?
Thanks!

| hi jeannie - mine was very straight forward. just like a regular scan, but she took measurements on the screen with her mouse to measure the fold at the back of the neck. i also had to have a blood test. good luck! xx | | | | Status: Offline

| Here it's an optional test It's just like a regular ultrasound, the ultrasound technician will take care of everything and send the results to your doctor rather than telling you then and there anything. If you don't hear anything from your doctor about it, that's good. But they will let you know at your next appointment how it went anyway. Umm from what I recall after she did all her measurements and everything she showed me the baby, let me look at it for a bit.. it had a giant head lol that was like the same size as its body almost haha. | | | | Status: Online
