shampoo?!

i was just looking around as to what cosmetics and hair care products one should not use while pregnant...
and discovered that Head and Shoulders shampoo is on that list!! (the ingredient in question being selenium sulfide)
I had a shower at a friends the other day (ours was out of commission for repairs), and just grabbed whatever... the shampoo i grabbed was Head and Shoulders!

should i be incredibly worried??
i looked it up on Google, and... apparently, use on the scalp is ok, but anywhere else on the body is bad... why is this?

mmm not sure! i have used it about 3 times during this pregnancy as my OH uses it and i just grabbed it

I probably wouldn't worry about it too much. Just once probably won't have much of an effect.

omg i didnt know this !! surley it cant be to bad, its maybe like the"dont colour ur hair in 1st tri" mabye same thing as this ? we got 4bottles of the stuff other day...BOGOF !!! well im goin out now to buy some different shampoo !!

Looks like it's only the intensive one that is dangerous. I've checked the ingredients on mine (the cool menthol one) & it doesn't have selenium sulfide in it. Still gonna get a new shampoo tho!!!

Girls, I think we're just gonna have to not wash skin or hair for the next 9 months!!! Trust me, I'm over the moon that I'm pg but a bit peeved with all this!!!
