Subchorionic Hematoma Found in early Pg

My doctor found this and seems unconcerned. I have had no external bleeding, just cramping (mostly minor) and they have only seen the bleeding on the U/S. She said I can resume normal activities, etc. They just found the heartbeat today and dated me 5 wks 5 days... She said the baby is around 2 mm., tiny... Should I be concerned about the SCH?

I looked online and found that there are reasons to possibly be concerned but I am really confused now.

Hiya

I'm not sure if it's the same thing but I've just looked up Subchorionic Hematoma as well and it could be, but I had an early scan on Saturday and they found bleeding. My doctor also didn't seem concerned and said that while it would be better not to have it, this early in pregnancy it isn't a reason for concern.

I was told that it may bleed out so I suppose this would explain all healthy pregnancies that experience some bleeding...

I'm trying not to worry but I am a little concerned since I miscarried in June...

Good luck.

Hx

I had a scan on Friday too. I had some really sharp cramps so went to the ER concerned... they scanned and I thought I was 6 wks... according to HCG levels they thought they should see something but didn't, they only saw the yolk sac... so that's why my regular doctor did another scan on Monday in the office. Well, she actually did another scan because they were worried about the "blood clot" in the ER doctor's words. The ER doctors didn't say it was SCH, they just referred to it as a blood clot, so she wanted to see exactly what it was. They dated me 5+5 (yesterday). They said they probably wouldn't have seen anything on Friday because it was just too early. My dates were off. Odd... but I guess anything's possible! I must have had a really short luteal period (9 days) for this all to work out with this timing. I'm guessing my cysts caused problems with ovulation so it was delayed (I did have 3 days of excruciating pain mid-cycle). Anyway... yeah I'm a little worried just because they never mentioned this SCH with my first pregnancy and I don't see it on the old U/S pictures. I hope it's all ok. We will see I guess. At least I know my hormones are good. The M/S is getting worse and worse each day! Yuck!
