Pregant and alone... seeking support

Hi everyone, i am new here and am approx 7 weeks pregnant. The father of the child has done a runner and I am left alone to deal. I also am disabled with ME so this is going to be interesting...
Once I got over the initial shock of the situation with him ( if you really want to be bored see my latest blog on my myspace page lol ) I am doing ok, have stopped the morphine I was on and my ME is doing better ( Dr thinks because of pregnancy hormones ). I am still very emotional and currently cutting all negative people from my life. I have a tendency to attract users and one sided friends so I have been doing some heavy analysis of my life I can tell you...

I am also worried that I will not be able to go full term due to my health probs so wish me luck

I joined up here for support really... to get and also to offer it.

Cheers

sam x

ps A bit about me:

I am based in wales UK, am disabled, used to work in mental health until I became ill ( specialising in challenging behaviour, autism and young self harmers ) 2 and a half yrs ago and now " work " as a musician if you can call it work lol...
I am pagan, 39 and play lots of instruments ( fiddle, cello, viola, electric and acoustic guitar ) and live in the sticks with 6 cats and 2 big dogs..

Hiya hun....firstly congrats! Im sure you will find lots of support here. I've come to realise that in this life, you can't reply on anyone but yourself. All you need if your baby- you will get all your strenght from him/her. Love and lots of luck, Lora xxxxx

Well firstly congratualtions and secondly well done on looking forward in life as opposed to 'why me-ing' as a lot of people would!

Hope you have a wonderful pregnancy and a great budle of joy at the end who most certainly will not be a one-sided user! My daughter needed a lot of extra care when she was born but the love I got out of it made every second totally worthwhile!

Look forward to seeing you around.

PS There's quite a few of us from Wales on here so you definitely not alone!

welcome!!!! i too come on here to give and receive support...i can't tell friends and work peeps i'm preggo til i'm 12 weeks and even then there are gonna be things i will never want to discuss with them, but which i won't mind raising on here...this forum is awesome cos you can open up without people looking at you funny and nine times out of ten someone has an answer or is experiencing it too!

might be also worth you checking out the pregnancy buddies thread where you can hook up with people with same due date as you, whilst also drawing on extra support from the rest of us peeps

full credit to you for recognising the people you don't need in your life... it's scary to choose to shrink your friends list rather than tolerate the negativity and rubbish so you should feel really proud of yourself for taking that positive step
