Morning sickness = motion sickness?

Hi ladies!

Just wondering who else seems to experience their morning sickness differently than just the "roll out of bed in the morning" manner.

Seems to me I usually get m/s in the late afternoon and it's usually when I am driving home on my one-hour commute home from work. I'm thinking it might be motion-related.

I should mention I am feel quite green right now and it's only 7:30am. Thank goodness for saltines and ginger ale.

**Has anyone ever tried any motion-sickness wristbands? Do they really help with the nausea?

Every day is a different day!

Hi Jersey
Glad your ok by the way, had us all worried!!
Yeah i tried those wrist bands with baby #1 didn't make any difference, and i tried some homeopathic remedy that didn't work either. feeling puke now too!! think its trying to not get hungrey or get too full. its like a litle and often is best, i'm finding water makes me feel sick too so trying just sips instead of gulps, only another 6 weeks to go. i think hcg peaks at 8 weeks so hopefully sickness won't get any worse after that!!
just bought some mints to suck too, . if you find anything that works let me know!!!
Its a good sign though feeling sick!!

Thanks! Yeah, I feel really bad about not getting on the boards earlier to let everyone know how I was doing...and I would have had I had the opportunity. I'll be sure to do even better next time.

About the sickness, I agree...feeling this way is a GOOD thing! I actually get quite a chuckle of it, happy to feel green in the face - who would have thought it'd be a good thing????

My one concern is that if it gets worse or does not subside, how am I going to continue the one-hour commute to work...should be interesting!

Mine doesn't really hit me in the mornings, though I have started getting nausea around 4am and that coincides with my insomnia.

Mine comes and goes and when I am on the move I find it gets worse.

Peppermint tea and lots of water is what I am drinking to try and ease it off.
Dry,very plain snacks too.

Not so much now, but a few weeks ago I would be fine up until I got in the car.... and then that was it, terrible sickness.

I've also been waken up at 3-5am with overwhelming feeling of wanting to be sick and then thats it, cant get back to sleep

Sorry to gatecrash back in first tri, but the only time I ever got morning sickness was when I was travelling in the car, and I never suffered from motion sickness before becoming pregnant. Nothing I tried seemed to work though.
