Last time we didn't tell anyone, not even our parents! Everyone found out Kian's name via text or phone call after he was born.

We've decided not to tell anyone again, although at the moment we have nothing to tell as we are really struggling to find a name we both like.

My mother in law is a hippy, lol, so we're all set for names there. It's my mom and dad that are the critical ones. Dad says "No weird names" and mom just rolls her eyes at me, which is almost worse.

I'll come out and say it - CHARLOTTE or DORIAN (or Gerard, hehe) and tough to everyone who doesn't like it!

I know where everyone is coming from our main problem is that we like Josh for a boy and ppl like my gran and oh's mum said ooo joshua and we were like no it would be Josh & we quite like Katie for a girl but not set in stone and they were like aww Kate!!! No!!! lol xx

One of my friends on the forum I moderate kept her baby name secret from everyone. I kind of like that idea! I don't like rude comments about names either. My son's name is Michael, so I always got "thats a strong name" and stuff like that...but I didnt even like hearing that. He's just a baby! he's not strong!!!!!!!!

I'm still trying but I told my coworkers I wanted to name my boy Lennon,...And one of them said "That reminds me of a sheet." and the other said "He's going to get made fun of and they're going to say 'Hey linen closet!",...but then I wrote it down and they liked it after they found out the spelling, LOL. OH doesn't like it but as I'm not PG yet, I have plenty of time to talk him into it, and we both agree on the girl name, Evelyn.
