I'm Currently Feeling: | So upset with work! Well yesterday I had to call in sick as I couldnt stop throwing up or retching!
Today I am the same so was off but am a day off too...but I thought I would phone the sister(I work in operaing theatres in NHS) and tell her it was morning sickness and I was 6 weeks.
Well I got a lecture on how I should have waited until after I got married as I am under enough stress without this! AAnd how I was letting everyone in the department down by being off sick!
Oh and if I was off sick everytime I get morning sickness over the coming weeks I will hardly be there! and I need to make an effort to go to work!
I couldnt believe this and was just so upset on the phone...I never thought someone could be so horrible!
So now I am sat here crying and just really not wanting to go back to work on Monday! And a few people at my work know and are very happy and understand why I am off!
Sorry but ths has really upsetme, maybe its my hormones I dunno?

I'm Currently Feeling: | Sending you a big hug Emma
Firstly I'm sorry you feel so icky, I know it's not pleasant but it will pass and you'll have your lovely bubs to show for it.
Secondly what a b***h! Your personal circumstances are nothing to do with her! You could have lied and said you got a contagious stomach bug that you didn't want to to pass on but this is the price she's making you pay for being honest.
My sisters are both nurses and they say how frowned upon they are if they phone in sick so I think its the culture. As a medical professional she should know severe ms can result in women being signed off for long periods.
You just do whats right for you and your baby.
And yes my hormones are all over the place too - suddenly feel very angry on your behalf! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | How dare she? You'd think of all people she'd be sympathetic!
I've been off for two days now with MS - Have finally realised that quite frankly sod work, this is waaaaay more important now.
Think you've got my hormones raging on this one too hon!!!
Anyways, take care of yourself. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | She had no right comenting on your situation like that, what the hell has it got to do with her if your married or not!!!
And what good would be in an operating theatre when your feeling sick as a dog, insenative bitch she is.
Do you not have any holidays or anything, then you can take a week or 2 off and have some you time?
Try not to let her get to you, she sound like a right cow to me. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Well I have at least stopped crying but now feel so angry with her for saying that! Sorry this reply will be long!
Yes I have been put through alot on the run up to my wedding and yes I had a chemical pregnancy in July where they made it all so much worse for me by forcing me to stay and taking bloods! But we want a baby and it was our descision to try for them and we are so happy we managed so soon to get pregnant!
I was sent to occupational health by this woman end of July for having time off work too! I had been signed off for 3 weeks end of May begining of June when my uncle dropped down dead suddenly, then I went offsick for a week after chemical pregnancy as I was devastated! Occy health werent ammused at her and know I am ttc so am sure they will be great with me but unfortunatley I have to work with her day in day out(I say work but she sits in her office doing nowt all day while we work hard!
Also just of the phone with a work friend who called in sick as she hurt her back turning a patient and has been at chiropractor and she got the same attitude too....oh a few months back she also wasnt well and was forced to do a preg test by this woman who then joked if she was preg she could get her on the end of our theatre list(we do terminations too!) She is disgusting!
I would love to be signed off work by doc but I do actually like my work and am great friends with most people there, some know and have told me I need to think about buba not her!
I just dont know what to do? Look for a new job(which I dont want to do!) or ignore her and truely hate her the rest of my career?
