hiya.. recently found out its twins im expecting and still in shock horror and elation at the idea.

Its really wierd but i just knew and it was confirmed 2 days ago on ultrasound..ive had a really up and down time since we got the bfp, I've never got to this stage of pregnancy before so havent anything to compare it to with singelton pregnancies. But ive always had this feeling theres more than one in there which i cant put my finger on but just kind of knew. Like snowgirl i had loads of pain from before the bfp. But i've had loads of tummy issues anyway. I feel so so so so so so so so nauseous I guess that must have something to do with twinnies. my tummy is already rounded but not a proper bump.. think its just water retention and bloating rather than anything else..

twins is amazing but the reality has hit me over the last day or so and i'm just so scared now!

good luck with your scans and let us know if it is twins....theres a few of us kicking around now!

Pain. Bad pain.... like tiny explosions in my womb at night, where I'd wake up and double over for a minute until it eased off. Also sickness came before my BFP.

Can't tell you about the swelling as I had my ovary stimulated with drugs and it was normal for IVF ladies to have swelling for several weeks after this. I can now feel at 11 weeks that my womb is sticking out? IYKWIM. So I seem to be showing earlier than one baby?!
I'm having to quote everyone's replies because my memory has run off and i can't remember what everyone has put to reply in 1 message!!
I know exactly what you mean about your womb sticking out hun - i feel like that now at only 5+ weeks!! Showing much earlier than I did with my other 2 and i was pretty early with them!! eek!
Congrats on your twins though - are you excited?

I'm concerned, but it would be cool to have twins. I guess I shouldn't have bought that one seater stroller quite so early! lol
ooh - keep us updated hun. will you be having an early scan or just waiting for 12 week one?

Hi wishing4ababy

Thank you for the congrats! Yeah I'm over the moon to be having two although I know it's going to be hard. Basically if we were only having one then we'd have to go through the IVF again, and it was really hard. Plus I'm getting near to 35 now, so the success rate drops signifcantly. Having two now means we will probably not have anymore treatment due to cost and the emotional rollercoaster that IVF is, so we are very lucky

Good luck for it being twins for you!

Elle x

Hi all! Not sure if this is relevant or not - but my hcg levels are 2518!! Bonkers high - according to one website that i found they should be about 600 at the moment!!!!!
Snowgirl - even more of a reason to be thrilled then hun. One of my friends conceived her daughter with IVF and has just found out she is pregnant again - naturally. She is 38 now and never thought she would have another one. I love happy endings - really really happy for you.
