I'm Currently Feeling: | 2nd lot of HCG bloods have been lost i am so cross. I rang up for my results and the receptionist first of all tried to tell me that i hadn't had any bloods done. Off she went for a good 5 mins and then came back and said "oh yeah.....your bloods have been lost in transporting them to lab so you need to make an appointment to come and have them done again. is next thursday ok?"
Erm.....let me think about that for one second!! NO IT BLOODY ISN'T OK!!
so girls i don't know what to do. I am not sure if it is more stressful having the bloods done adn then agonizing over the levels of them - are they high enough, too high blah blah - shall i bother? there is nothing i can do either way is there? what would everyone else do? xxxxx |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Not sure hun, on the one hand your hpt tests have been getting stronger so you are definetly pregnant and knowing the results of your hcg test wont make much of a difference to whats going to happen and could stress you out even more like you say as you concentrate on what the levels could mean.
On the other hand if its going to reassure you to have your bloods show that you're hcg levels are increasing normally then you should go for it.
Personally I don't much like having my blood taken so I would leave it but it's up to you and what you feel comfortable with!
P.S. Stupid bloody surgery losing your blood in the first place!!! What did they do? Drop it behind the couch cushion??? How hard can it be to transport your blood to a lab?? |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I would have them done for peace of mind. Can you travel to your hospital and have them on there? That's what i did! |

I dont think I would bother again, as the doc said to me...if they came back great it doesnt guarantee that you wont m/c next week or the week after they just show your ok at that time...

I'm Currently Feeling: | I'm iron deficiant, so I get blood taken all the time. Going back for another test doesn't bother me ever... but if you're squeemish with needles and you've had a couple done already... why don't you just get the dopplar thing done and listen to the heartbeat? If they're checking for m/c, that would show it, wouldn't it? |

I'm Currently Feeling: | thanks girls. I think i am becoming obsessed and really over paranoid. My gp is ringing me later to have chat to me about it but i think i am almost certain that I am going to wait it out without having numbers to google and compare to others. which i obviously would do! i should have my appointment through any time for my early scan so for now i am going to relax (or try to) and try and enjoy this early stage as much i can despite and being all bunged up!!!
hopefuly the doc will back me up on this one too.
Jaquie - wtf is going on - i think someone really wants us to relax. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Ive choosen not to have them done. Had loads done last time and none of them made me feel any better, just got googlecrazy!!
If they come back good things could still go wrong after tests, if it comes back bad youll have an agonizing wait until the scan.
But i know what im like |
