I'm Currently Feeling: | Do I need to go to GP over spotting? I had some browny discharge on Saturday, whilst I didn't need a pad there was quite a bit everytime I wiped. I rang the midwife at the hospital as I'm Rhesus negative and didn't know if this counted as a bleed or not and if I'd need to get the anti-d injection. She said to go to GP on Monday but if it starts to bleed bleed then go to A&E. It stopped by Sat night and I didn't go to the GP today.
I'm pretty sure from my internet searches that I don't need anti-d as it's in the first 12 weeks and wasn't fresh blood. Do I still need to ring GP? (don't want to seem like I'm a paranoid 1st timer - which I am!)
This is the 2nd time I've had the browny stuff. 1st time at 7 weeks the morning before my early scan and again at 8 1/2 weeks. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I would always get it checked, can you request an early scan just for piece of mind? I personally couldn't sit around not knowing what was happening inside - I am so impatient! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I'm really impatient too - if I hadn't already had a scan at 7 weeks I would push for one but as it's only 2 weeks since my last one can't really see that I can justify it.
If I had my way I would have one every week! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I would hun, just to be sure... infact i am tomorrow
I am super paranoid, had bad experience so now even worse than last time. Im just like you, only really when i wipe, about once a day for last few days, but enough to panic. Its better to be safe hun. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I have had it 5 times now, most recently just over a wek ago!
It is normal and usually down to increased blood flow etc or an erosion!
Get it checked if you are worried. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Thanks all, I rang the GP today and she confirmed that I wouldn't need the anti-d in the first 12 weeks for a small bleed/spotting. I described all to her and she did say that they don't like to see any bleeding in a pregnancy but it does not mean it's bad news. I have a scan in 3 1/2 weeks so she thinks it best to wait till then and see how things are. I've never known time go so slowly! I'm gonna try my best not to think about it and try and get on with things as normal. |
