Hey Vic,
Sorry to hear that on top of everything thing else your now feeling ill.
Its very hard to judge either way on what could be going on. Iwill be honest with you and say that I had a bleed at just over 5 weeks before, Itried to be optimistic cause the bleed was lighter than my normal period and lasted for only 3 days with no pain (normally get period pains) but when I had a scan a week later I was told I had lost the baby, the PG tests had started to give faiter results in the run up to the scan, untill the scan at about 7 weeks, when the test was coming back negative.
On the other side I know in several cases where a bleed like this is caused by the loss of a twin, technology now has shown that twins are possibly as common as one in 5 pregnancies, but one is normally lost in the early stages, so its actaully very common. In fact bleeding in early pregnancy I discovered is as common as 1 in 10!
Im sorry to give some negative feedback, its just I thought Ishould be honest with you to tell you my experiences. If the news is the worst, its worth consoling yourself with the fact that at least it happened at a very early stage before anything had a chance to really develop, I know its that which made it a lot easier for me to cope when I got my news.
Perhaps its worth doing the odd test on yourself to see whats going on, so your not waiting in limbo for ages, at this stage it doesnt take long for HCG levels to go up or down.
Fingers crossed all work out well for you hun.
