i think the secret is out.

im 7 weeks and hoped to not tell anyone apart from parents until I was 12 weeks and had my scan. however I think ppl at work have started guessing and my clothes are getting tighter. I know it prob seems more obvious to me as I know iv got a bean growing inside me. my colleagues at work are terrible gossips and anyone who has put even a pound in weight on they suspect is pregnant, so god knows what they are saying about me!

i think im gonna have to tell ppl earlier than i thought. anyone else been in the same situation?

Im nearly 10 weeks and have not told a soul except you lot and my OH.
Too too too nervous after a mc in Feb. . .and Im debating whether or not to keep schtum after my 12 week scan or not too. Im terrified im going to jinx myself.
If people ask, I just say "nope im just getting fat" with a massive grin. And then I usually follow it up with a "why, are you feeling the cream cakes calling too?" hahahahahaha

Good Luck-do this when you feel ready-not because you feel pressured into it-this is YOUR news, not theirs!!

I didn't tell anyone until I was 12 weeks at work. It was hard but they all said they never suspected it when I thought they did! Tell people when you're ready xx

I agree with the others - it's your news to tell when you're ready! I have been feeling that folks around me might suspect too, so to head off the questions I have been dropping "gosh I need to lose weight" in the conversation every once in a while, so that they might think I was just eating too much and feeling self-conscious. That will usually keep people from asking! For example, out to eat with my mother-in-law a few weeks ago I made sure to say "No wonder I can't lose weight, I have no self control!" when I had an empty plate. It also works for me when people offer me alcohol - "No thanks, I really have to lose weight. I am trying so hard to watch my calories."

Just be careful not to talk about any of the give-away symptoms, like nausea, stuffy nose, aching breasts, etc.
