heartbeat high low boy girl horse train

I was reading this and was wondering if it true

Boy= sounds like a train, lower heart eg 140 and under
Girl = sounds like a galloping horse , fast heart rate eg 150s 160s

Any truth?

do you know what? I am just realising how little attention i payed to these things on both my pregnancies! I wish i had of listened more but i was too interested in looking at the baby! I am going to be more alert during this pregnancy!!!

I believe so, my son's heartbeat was the sound of a train and for some reason baby boys heart rates are generally slower! My midwife predicted it was a little boy on his heart rate alone! Not had a girl so couldn't compare that one, but think this one might be a girl, time will tell!

i was reading up about this they have done studies which say there is nothing at all in the 'old wives tale' but im sure it has been a correct indicator for a lot of people as well so who knows, we should keep this thread going and record heart rates etc and then when we find out what we are having (mine wont be until i have him/her) see how accurate it is!!!! our own Babyandbump study!!!

xx
