I'm 5+4 and rang the hospital today; they said I should have my booking appointment between 8 and 9 weeks, and the dating scan a couple of weeks after that. I'm impatient too!! |

I'm Currently Feeling:  | Congratulations!! My GP told me that the midwife would get in touch with me by the time I was about 12 weeks... as I got my  at 3 + 4, I felt that was aaaaaaages away and I got really worried! She actually called me a few weeks later, but I'm not seeing her until next week though, when I'll be around 8 weeks. I think NHS guidelines reccommend you're seen by about week 11-12. But the waiting sucks!!

I'm Currently Feeling:  | I haven't got an appointment to see a midwife, but I did receive a letter today asking me to come in for my 12 week scan, it is on the last day of my 12th week - but no mention of a midwife??? I'm guessing that letter might come seperately... I'll leave it another week or so and then call and ask if that will happen at the same appointment.
I've also got a dating scan in two weeks as I was having pain and had an early scan yest... it is at the same hospital as my 12 week one but different department!
my doc did say you don't normally see a midwife until about 12 weeks as there isn't much for them to look at until then... at 12 weeks bean moves above the pelvis and things start changing more so the midwife has more to examine - or something!
