This may be a silly question Ladies but .....

I had a bleed at about 8wks, it was a blood sack from implantation that the bub had popped as it got bigger. I think that your cervix can open to allow such things to pass and then close back up.

I'm not quite sure how it work for a normal woman, of course I'm pretty much not. Now I'm no alien but if you read my thread you'd find I have a duplicated reproductive system and MY spotting has been coming from the side with no baby. But as for spotting etc, it depends on the color and quantity as my mom said. However bleeding or spotting can mean anything and its not always threatening. Sometimes you may have a twin that dies but the other bean is ok, and sometimes you just have old blood, or implantation bleeding. There are MANY reasons for spotting, but I think you will be able to get the most detailed explanation from your doc or midwife. Hope that helps!

I have been spotting for 2 weeks now (7 weeks pg) and mine was put down to a cervical erosion - so blood is from cervix not womb.
