I've just ordered the angelsounds doppler as it was recommended by someone who heard the heartbeat at 9 weeks. Apparently it is best to hear when you have a full bladder!

I dodn't get one with my last son and I wish I had because the only time I heard the heart beat was when I was being monitored in hospital. I think I might invest, like some one else said you can always sell it on afterwards and this will be my last one!!

I never got along with angel sounds one or similar Found i didnt find heartbeat untill Much further along pregnancy More like 16 weeks .
But When i baught a Doppler of ebay , I heard second babies heartbeat at 10 weeks , And allready this pregnancy i listen every night . I started listening at 8+6 i was amazed .
A "Doppler" Is easier to listen with rather that a "Parental listener" . xx .

I think anyone who can hear the heartbeat is really lucky, as I don't think it's easy to hear at all. Someone else was saying to me (on another forum) that she found it briefly and then lost it again for weeks!

It depends how wriggly and how much fluid there is around the baby. My babies have been big but they can never find the heartbeat with the monitor machines as there is extra fluid with diabetic pregnancies and it's difficult!!
