I had them too. Really bad cramps....like the worst period cramps I'd get. I was also quite worried. But now my philosophy is this: If there's no blood, then I don't allow myself to get carried away with worry.
Just last week, I accidentally went through the security turnstyle at work and I forgot to swipe my card.....Well...I walked through and the turnstyle locked and it SMASHED me in the lower-abdomen/uterus area. I freaked out. I had SUCH bad cramps for hours afterwards. I was scared to death. But...no blood...so I'm praying it's all ok.

I got quite bad cramps in 1st trim as well. Have not had them this trim so far. It's your uterus stretching to support a 8-10lb baby in there soon! I too had a mc before this pg, so can understand you are worrying, but I suppose all I can say is try not to!! (Easier said than done, I know!) Good luck for a happy & healthy 9mths!

I am having them horribly right now. Ewww.
But they feel different enough for me to know. And yeah, its when its mixed with bleeding and spotting, thats when you worry. I had an Miscarriage in my 12th week, but the whole first tri there was none of what I am feeling now, thats for sure.
Its a good sign, babe!

Ah ladies... thanks so much for your support!! It's so reassuring to read everyones messages. I have my first appointment with my midwife today, so I'll no doubt have tons of questions for her!

Thanks for sharing your experiences... it's made me change my mind from worrying about the cramps to being glad that they're there as it's a good sign as long as not accompanied by blood or spotting! You're all super stars!!!!!
