Dull Ache

Hi all,

I asked at the dr office during my first prenatal visit but they just said some aching is normal. I am still worried...this is my first pregnancy so I just don't know what is "right" and what is not - and we haven't really told anyone so I don't have anyone to ask!

I fairly constantly have a dull ache in my lower abdomen...not as bad as cramps but still there. It comes and goes but each day I feel it there for a while.

Does anyone else have this?

- Lisa

All the time. They terrified me at first as I had a miscarriage a few years back, but they're just growing pains. Keep in mind that your entire physiology is changing. You are bound to have some growing pains.

Dull aching is quite normal hun, its your ligaments stretching, its when it turns into severe cramping or pain that it could turn into something a little more serious! Of course as always if your ever worried get along to your Dr hun x x x

I have a dull aching pain in my pelvis. I don't remember having it during my first pregnancy, but each pregnancy is different. I just put it down to the changes taking place in my body.

If you are worried, call your midwife or GP and have a chat with them. It's best to talk to someone than worry yourself.

How far along are you? Stretching is normal, especially when you enter your second trimester. Yay for round ligament pain/stretching. If you aren't hurting, just a dull ache, you're most likely fine. I've had it off and on since I got pregnant.
