I'm Currently Feeling: | No 12 wek scan for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just got back from what was supposed to be my 1st midwife appointment, well they had only booked me in for a 10 minute slot instead of an hour so i have to go to hospital next week for another appointment!!! I was furious paid £2.00 for parking was made to wait 25 minutes only to be told we could not go through what we should!!
I then asked is that when i get me 12 week scan & she said i would not get 1 as there are not enough staff so i only get 1 at 20 weeks!!!!!!!! Is this the same for others? anyone else not havin 12 week scan? |

I'm Currently Feeling: | No, im getting one, have you not thought of going to a different hospital, one with enough staff for them to do thier jobs?
I had my 3 at an out of town hospital, its pretty straight forward swapping over.
I personally think that it is out of order that they arnt offering you a 12 week scan. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Unfortunately it varies greatly from area to area Sorry to hear that they aren't giving you one. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Surely they need to to work out your dates accurately. My mw said to me that they didnt used to do the 12 week scan, but they do now to work out the dates accurately so that they aren't weeks out when it comes to tests and things. Fight for it hun! Good luck!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Def fight for a 12 week scan hun, even if it means changing to another hospital. It's just not acceptable for them not to do it on the basis that they are short staffed! Also, if they don't do a 12 week scan then you need to check that they will be carrying out the triple blood tests to screen for Down's etc.
Hope you get it sorted soon.
