I'm Currently Feeling: | Antibiotics and pain killers while ttc Hi, my wisdom teeth have decided to play me up, i'm sure i have an infection as i have before, my face has blown up and it hurts to swallow or speak (dh is happy). I am seeing a dentist later on today, but i am so worried about antibiotics and pain killer, anyone else had any experience with this? Im hoping, there is a chance i could be pregnant. |

As long as you tell your dentist you may be pregnant then he/she can give you antibiotics at a dose that is safe in pregnancy.
For pain relief, if there is a chance you may be pregnant I would not take anything apart from paracetamol. |

Good luck with your , sending | This is very very true! You can't let yourself suffer just because you might be pregnant. Make sure to tell the dentist that you are TTC and I'm sure he will prescribe you the proper medications. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi guys, i'm back. Well it was a female dentist and she had just had a mc at 16 weeks so was very reluctant to give me anything. I felt so sorry for her, she was so kind and obviously worried for me to have medication. I told her i had a this morning but she said she tested 20 times till the suprise of her so as far as she was concerned untill arrives she will treat me as pregnant. I really apprecaited her concern, and she did give me a few topical things she hopes will help. Just hope it clears up without antibiotics, but i think i definalty need to have them out when it settles down With that in mind she must have told me about 10 times to have a local anesetic without adrenaline, the poor woman has obviously been thro hell and back. I'm taking it as a sign that i saw a female dentist that obviously had the possibility of a baby as her priority. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | An infection in your head...teeth, ears, throat, if untreated can be dangerous! It can go into your brain, not to mention it can be harmful to your baby if you are or get pregnant and the infection is running rampant. Your dentist's person tragedy aside, this must be treated. There are antibiotics that can be taken while pregnant even. Also Tylenol #3 can be taken while pregnant for extreme pain as well. So it should not effect your TTC. Besides if you do conceive, you cannot live with an infection for 9 months until you deliver. Plus, many women have dental issues while pregnant. So you could exacerbate the problem by doing nothing. Good Luck! Lady Sicily |
