for me its cos bubs lays on my left so my bump isnt so heavy I think its all something to do with your insides and where they are positioned!

Im sure as well its good to lay on your left to get bubs in a better position for labour

Some of the other girls will have a much better explanation lol!!

It maximises the flow of nutrients to the placenta. Laying on your left side offers the least constriction of blood vessels. Here is an article I found.

Apparently to do with improved blood flow to uterus and also later on in pregnancy sleeping on your left side regularly apparently helps the baby into a good position for labour, as leedsforever said. They make body pillows specifically designed to encourage you to sleep on your left for this reason.

ya, its to do with the placenta.

To be quite honest, any side I can get comfortable I sleep on. I find it hard enough to fall asleep without restricting myself to a certain position!

Yeah as others have said its better blood flow to baby if you lay on your left xx

as you get further along and baby gets big, laying on your back can press on your Vegas Nerve which can cause you to pass out!! dont worry tho, your body will naturally warn you in advance to move before this happens!!!

my Vegas Nerve doesn't work as it should so i have to be carfeull anyway!!!

xxxxxx
