I'm Currently Feeling: | Hello am new, but have been lurking for a while! Hi I have just registered after lurking for many weeks! I am 10 wks today so still feel a bit apprehensive/superstitious about talking about it at the mo and have been putting off joining the forum especially as have had a few problems so far.
I found out I was preg on holiday in france, was nearly a week late so did a test, was pos. Then later that day I started bleeding a bit, with a few cramps, but not as much cramps and blood as with a normal period. Looked on internet and convinced myself about all sorts of awful things so rang docs in UK who said it was prob a MC and to go and see them when I got back, but if things got bad to go to a hosp in france straight away. Anyway I spotted on and off for a few days, but hol was ruined by the worry as you can imagine! Came back home and doc arranged for early scan to be done a week later when I should be about 7 wks. Anyway I had the scan and there were 2 gestational sacks, one of which was empty and the other had a baby, and we saw and heard the heartbeat, which the scanning lady said was nice and strong. So it seems the early bit of spotting may have been the other preg miscarrying...... Anyway I have another scan next week, well actually I have 2, on Monday I have a Nuchal scan which I am having done privately (as I am the grand old age of 37) and on Friday I have another normal NHS scan.
Has anyone else conceived twins but lost one very early on?
I wish I could stop worrying about everything, I just feel so negative about everything so will be glad when I have had the screening done - as long as I am not high risk! | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | I havent had one, but ive heard they happen quite alot, though im not swearing down to this, im no expert, i just read it in a womans magazine once.
I would think that this hasent effected your other baby in the slightest.
Anyway, congrats and good luck. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Firstly welcome to BnB and secondly many Congrats on you BFP, sorry to hear of your loss with one of the twins.
Its totally understandable to worry espically if its yours first. We are all in the same boat on here so dont be afraid to ask questions etc!!!

I'm Currently Feeling: | Welcome to the forum hun, sorry your holiday was ruined with all the worrying.
Apparently its quite common for this to happen early on with twins then the pregnancy usually continues without any problems for the remaining baby.
Try not to worry im sure you & LO will both be fine xx |
