Been to the doctors tonight because ever since 8 weeks I have had a pain in my lower back/buttock on my left side. It starts at my coccyx and then goes down my left bum cheek It has got worse and worse and today I keep getting stuck because the pain is that bad I can't move! My mum or boyfriend keeps having to lift me about all the time. Dr said I am unlucky to have this so early on as it doesn't usually hit until around 20ish weeks. Have been prescribed paracetamol and some pain relief gel and been signed off work to rest but I just wondered if anyone else was going through this this early?

iv been getting back pain but not like urs but i think it just coz your body gettin used to baby bein in there

I actually have that same thing and had it before I was pregnant. Its your physiatic nerve most of the time! I get it so bad I cant walk at times!

hi there,
I am 16 weeks next tuesday and i have exactly the same thing - it comes and goes with me and it gets so bad sometimes that i cant put pressure on my one side
but i find it goes quite quickly
