hiya i was wondering if any one nos if i have to have an early scan will i still get a 12 week one.

because i had a miscarriage on the 25th of may now im preg again with no period in between so i think maybe they will do an early scan for dating but im worried that if i have to have an early scan i wont be able to have a 12 week scan and wont be able to see much or do u think seeing as when i go docs i may be about 7 weeks they will just leave me till 12 weeks?

Hey girlie...I had one at 8 wks and at 12 weeks and now again at 18...It varies though..My scan at 12 wks was only because I was checking for Down syndrome...and this next one is an anatomy scan...

Not too sure to be honest! I have had 5 scans up to now for bleeding, cramps, etc. All has been fine and I am having my 12 weeks one on Wednesday, but there are others on here that have had early scans and then havent been entitled to a 12 week one. i think it depends on your primary care trust.

You will still get your 12 wk scan i had one at 6 weeks and still had my 12 wk one...
i wish i had more scans to look forward to

hopefully i just dont want 2 miss out on seeing my baby rather than just a sack if u get what i mean and what weeks do u get your second scan i really know nothing

12 weeks and 20 weeks You should have all this info in your notes (green book) if you have them

You should be able to have a scan whenever you feel you need one.

i havnt got a book yet first doctors appointment on the 16th my doctors is rubbish u cant get an appointment for ages and i found out on the 26th its killing me waiting 1 week 2 days till i get my pregnancy confirmed yayyy iv been counting down the days
