I'm Currently Feeling: | They usually can't do an abdominal scan until you are 12 weeks or more unfortunately. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I've had 2 abdominal ultrasound scans and 3 internal scans. They can't alwasy see with an abdominal scan this early on. Please don't worry about an internal scan though, I didn't bleed with any of them (although I had bouts of bleeding that were nothing to do with this). If you do bleed its only because there was probably a bit of old blood up there that the scanner dislodged. This is what I got told at the hospital anyway. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | It's not likely that an internal scan will cause you to bleed. It really is the only way they can see anything this early on. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I had an adominal scan at 6 weeks, and didnt need an internal, probably because my bladder was fit to burst, was in hospital for the day and hadn't used the toilet!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I had an internal scan at 8 weeks and didn't bleed, even though my scan was because I had been bleeding! It was a bit uncomfortable but I find smears uncomfortable, that's just me. Don't be frightened by the probe, it looks huge but as another person said, it doesn't go very far in.
Good luck with the scan! |
