I'm Currently Feeling: | tips on sickness ... not working Everything i eat or drink is up again with half an hour, now soon as i am sick i drink fluids again just so my body has plenty.
But from about 7-8 weeks it has been bad ..... i m just worried i m not getting enough of my vitamins even though i m taking my daily pro natal and drinking plenty
Any tips ladies cos nothing is working .... plus the ginger biscuit thing is out as they don t sell them in holland ...HELP!
I have loads days of work recently .... and any little tips that can just keep some of the sickness away for some of the day.
I m happy as long as LO is healthy but i love eating and can only stomach really small meals at the mo . |

I'm Currently Feeling: | The only thing that worked for me was minty sweets like mint imperials or polos or chewing gum.
Not sure if it will work for you but maybe worth a shot.
Good luck hun

I'm Currently Feeling: | Have you tried travel sickness bands? They work for some people. For me I've just had to keep my blood sugar levels up so I've been really lucky. Hope you're feeling better soon x |

I'm Currently Feeling: | You know what, Mine never did die down, whole pregnancy and nothing helped, worcester sauce or bacon sandwiches eased it, sometimes it's the salt intake you need.
It's surprising how much you baby takes before you have a chance to chuck it back up again, you'll shld be fine, it is rather extreme before it affects baby! Ie have to be severly de-hydrated, whereby you can hardly walk and will be rather disorientated too. I had this once and got rushed to hossie, but all was well and even though i was in bad way ds was abs fine.
Looking back i continualy ate cos people told me it was sugar levels, but in hind sight, i seriously think it's tiredness, not gettin enuf sleep! I was pulling thirteen hr days and was sick right until I left work after I left work it eased off although not completly.
I think this may be the case for you as you say your working loads last couple days, try getting more sleep!
Best of luck it's not nice, but well worth it. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | my nurse told me that hot and spicy things help with nausea. She even gave me some fireball candies to suck on. I have been eating spicy stuff like mad. Also when I was feeling sick a lot, I would eat right away when I woke up that way my stomach is full first thing. This helped a bunch. If I waited too long to eat I would be hungry and then it would just turn into sickness. I would still be able to eat but after, I would still feel sick. I dunno if you do this but taking your pre natals at night before bed is good too. I am sorry it has been hard for you to keep anything down. Sorry I am not much help but I really hope this passes soon |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I had a seasickness band and I also did a lot of deep breathing, the breathing helped more than the seasickness band. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | What about crystalised ginger? You get it from a health shop here. The thing that wokred most for my OH was keeping eating solids and drinking liquids separate...leave 30 mins between. You might also try changing your pronatal vit as that can make you sick. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | This was my daily ritual in first tri (I'm still sick but not as bad).
Wake up,eat crackers.
Once I felt stable enough to get out of bed without vomiting on the floor, run to put the kettle on. Make peppermint tea.
Get back in bed with crackers and tea.
Get up and eat a popsicle while getting ready.
Eat some more crackers.
Live off of popsicles and crackers for the rest of the day until I could get home and make some more peppermint tea. |
