maybe a bit of internet shopping is called for? Maybe just order one at a time and check the postage is cheap incase you have to keep returning them. You could keep your mono-breast bra for sleeping in then x

Where do you get your bras from? And do you know anywhere that caters to the larger sizes? Are there any nice maternity bras out there?

Thanks in advance!!!
I was a size 34G before getting pregnant and I am now a 38K. I was just fitted into my nursing bra last week.

I have a place for you. It is a small trip from Richmond, but worth it.

Design Also
101, St. Pauls Rd, London, N1 2NA
Tel: 020 7354 0035

The nearest tube is Highbury and Islington and is a 2 minute walk from there.

The woman who owns it is named Yvonne. A work colleague recommended her to me and most of the larger women in my office go to her. People go to her for training on bra fitting, as well.

She carries lovely bras in all colours, patterns, etc. I have some really nice nursing bras from her. And I think that is an achievement since I am so large.

But, be prepared if you go. The place is in a complete shambles and you will have to navigate your way between boxes. However, she is the best bra fitter I ever had and I've been having fittings since I was a busty girl of 12 (size D by the time I was 11). Do not be surprised if she takes one look at you and tells you that you are wearing the wrong size and will take your old bra from you if you get any from her as she has this pet peeve about ill-fitting bras.

If you go to her, tell her Alexandra sent you.

There's a good maternity company called Emily B that might be worth googling. Also, Bravissimo stock Emily B and several other brands. If you call Bravissimo they will give you fitting advice over the phone...or you could go to a store if there's one near you. Lx

Awww i'm with you in the big boobies stakes, i was bigger than my friends always, but with birth of daughter i was a 32jj. My current size is 40k, so i'm kinda glad its more of an around than cup growth but then a 32jj is different from a 34jj etc etc.

What i'm trying to suggest is www.simplyyours.co.uk

They're not too bad price wise x

Thank you all so much. I'm a West London girl but my dad lives in N1 so it'll be no problem to get myself up there. Cheers again. I really appreciate the help.

Yes - custom bras! The place I go to makes them and I have a friend whose son owns a lingerie shop with someone on premise making custom sized bras. I think a career change as a porn "actress" is in order - I can call myself Ms. K-cupcake or something like that and flaunt them.

You can probably relate to this: whenever I wore a corset (before getting pregnant) when I go out it is amazing the fascination men and women have with my chest. Do you get this, as well?
