Stupid stupid question...NO LAUGHING!! lol


Ok so I have such a silly question and have been so afraid to ask it in fear of being made fun of LOL..this could be TMI...so...I am quiet constipated..now..when I try going...will it hurt the baby if I am pushing??

Yes I know silly question but really want to know the answer! thanks ladies hehe

Hello I was wondering that too before...Just no straining or forcefullness..Try to drink more fluids if really bad talk to the docfeel free to ask anything

That's not a stupid question!

You won't hurt the baby, but you could cause a hemorrhoid to develop if you push too hard. There are a few things you can try that should help:

-stool softeners
-increasing the fiber in your diet (raw fruit & veg, bran, whole grains, or a supplement)
-drink LOTS of water
-prunes/prune juice (yep, they really do work!)

A good sized bowl of bran flakes or all bran will sort this out, I swear by it. Also if you go on to breast feed you can suffer with awful constipation, it can be like passing lumps of glass, but a good sized bowl of bran flakes every mornig and as a snack in the evening for the first few days will keep this under control. I have mine warm with a lil bit of sugar as they aren't the tastiest things in the world lol.

I think this too! So not just me then either! LoL Not a silly q really i been thinking it since my friend told me that she ends up bleeding in preg after straining from constipation so ive bin worried ever since.

awww I had thins terrible when I was in first Trimester..!! actually had cramps where my bowels was sooo full..! straining wont do any damage 2 the baby but it will cause piles..! go 2 docs is what I did and he prescribed me "FIBREGEL" horrible stuff..!! but it really works..!!! x

id say dont push too much you dont want to get piles lol try eating more fibre to help
