I'm Currently Feeling: | Update on lost pregnancy symptoms Ladies, Thanks for your responses to my last thread about how I lost all my symptoms.
I wanted to update you on what's been going on.
For all those of you who have heard about the "free healthcare" in Canada….just remember one thing: You get what you pay for.
I waited over 2 hours to see a doctor at the walk-in clinic (My GP wasn't able to give me an appointment before Tuesday). I waited and waited and then finally the nurse called me in. She wrote down all my symptoms and how I 'lost' them. Then she asked me for a urine sample to do another pregnancy test. I did the test and ten minutes later the doctor walked in and said……wait for it….are you ready?......"Good news. The test is positive. You're not having a miscarriage". I was like "WTF???" Don't you know that even if I was having a m/c, the test would still be positive for several days?!?!?!
Then he said "What do you want, then?" so I told him that I wanted two blood tests…to check my HCG. He told me that he wanted me to wait a MINIMUM of 4 days between the tests. I told him that I'd probably know if I'd miscarried by that point!
Then I told him to check my progesterone. I told him that my cousin is a fertility specialist in a different city, and that she recommended checking progesterone to make sure it was high enough to support a pregnancy…..Wanna know what he said? He said "I don't know how to interpret progesterone…so there's no point putting it on the test".
I let the clinic and just thought "There's nothing to do but wait".
I honestly feel like there's nothing left in me. I don't feel pregnant anymore. Nothing….not even a hint of it. And it all came to a screeching half over a one hour period. If this is what's happening to me…I wish it would just get a move on already... |

| O honey, you're really going thru the mill aren't you but honestly hon, loads of gals I know who are preggo had days of not having any symptoms. It is so early and it's easy for me to say as I'm not going thru the same but you mustn't think the worst, you haven't got your period so that's a good sign cos if you're m/c you will start bleeding, surely? I know you know your own body but try not to stress too much. Look after yourself. xxxxx |

I'm Currently Feeling: | You really need to be more positive. Yes you're symptoms seem to have stopped but they can stop and everything be fine. There are no 'rules'. My Mum and my sister has ZERO symptoms. They had no sore boobs, no sickness - nothing.
I can honestly say I didnt feel pregnant until I was much further on.
I dont think you should be thinking like this. You're not bleeding or cramping - your symptoms could be back in a day or two. Its like you're giving up before you even started. Dont give up on that little bean I know its scary but believe everything can and will be ok - please.

I'm Currently Feeling: | Sounds like some of our british nhs experiences!
Try not to worry, you are fearing the worse, but really everything could be absolutely fine. I was feeling sick and then I was fine, but I had a little hint of the sickness again today, i think symptoms can come and go, and hopefully you will also get a hint of something too, remember these are very early stages for us and a lot of symptoms dont even kick in until week 6.
