If its an internal scan they tell u not to empty bladder. I went for a 10 week one and they tryed to see on a belly one but was too samll(well turned out to be a blighted ovum so thats probably why). They said to go an empty bladder and they then did an internal one

Good luck

Hi Frankie,

I just had an 8 week scan on Monday. I was nervous also, but it was fantastic. I was told to drink at least 1 pint of water 1 hour before the appointment...apparently it is the water in your bladder that enables the ultrasound to work...that is for abdominal scans at least.

Lx
