So I had my first MW aapt today and she did all the usual (bloods, checking wee and stuff) then because my OH is a knobhead (hes convinced im further gone than 11 weeks cos me bump is quite noticeable- im just assuming its cos im slim) so MW got me on the bed and felt my uterus- she said she wasnt sure if she could feel it or wether or not it was my bladder or stomach muscles. Then she used the doppler but couldnt hear anything so now im convinced there will be nothing there when i go for my scan on monday .
She told me not to worry but thats like telling the sun not to be hot!

Dont worry about it the only way they can actualy feel if your pregnant or not at such a early stage is to basicaly put there fingers up n and poke around! i had this dont to me at 6 weeks due to bleeding and as for her using a doppler on you this early is stupid of her because your baby will be so small theres a slim chance of finding one, it took my MW 10 mins to find my little ones heart beat at 16 weeks.. dont worry and im sure your scan will be fine

Must confess that I'm convinced my OH is further on than they say she is. This is based not only on her showing already (but she is super slim), but also on the fact that she got pg first month off the pill (so she could have been irregular). Our MW, like yours, also felt and said it was def her uterus.

She offered us the doppler too but we refused cos we didnt want her 'not' to find it. We decided not to stress ourself and wait for scan instead.

Im sure its ok mo_mo. There is nothing else that makes you concerned, and its only a few days to wait hun. Looking forward to seeing the pic xxx

Isn't your 'baby' bump just bloating? If she couldn't hear the HB then baby is obviously still tucked away in your pelvis. The actual baby is tiny before week 12 so really ;\ your not gonna be showing a bump b/c baby is pushing out.

I thought it was bloat for a while but ive noticed it starts sticking out from my pelvis(if that makes sense!) rather than just bein a fat belly

I no what you mean lol I got a very small bump around 10 weeks and it freaked my partner out lol now at 29 weeks everyone says my bump is so small i think thats all down to me having a boy tho and i havent gained too much weight yet.......lol

hi ya Momo, i wouldn't worry too much if there was a problem you would have had a phone call from the docs as the blood your midwife took from I'm assuming me sures your hormones etc if they were low (not indicating pregnancy) they would have told you by now, are you getting any symptoms of pregnancy?

The only sypmtoms I get are slight cramping and the tiniest bit of nausea...the worst thing is the constipation- sometimes i dont go for days! (sorry tmi!), but even after all my worrying my scan went fine and LO looked comfortable in there!
