Angry

My idiot Grandma abused my trust

I specifically told her not to tell anyone I'm pregnant. My dad doesn't know yet and I wanted to tell him myself when I feel ready. My parents aren't together and I don't see him that often. Well anyway, my Gran told my auntie who I basically NEVER see. I'm so pissed off with her. Her excuse was 'I wasn't going to lie'. Sorry but there was nothing to lie about :s My auntie asked how I was.. a 'fine' would suffice.

I am so fucking angry.

She just couldn't wait to be the bearer of what she thinks is bad news.

+ he will find out, i know it. Oh well, I don't give a damn what he thinks either so I'm not that worried, just angry. Atleast we all know we can't trust her. Her fault. Just b/c she's old doesn't mean she can do and say whatever she pleases with no consequences. Who does she think she is.

I know, and it's not like I'm 20 weeks or even slightly showing. I'm only 2 days out of the high risk period ffs!

+ yeah, she's been quite nasty about the whole thing and keeps calling me daft and stupid for keeping it and saying I'm a disappointment. She's clearly old fashioned and thinks you have to be a wife before you're a mother. HEH. This isn't the 1940s you know. Unwed mothers are perfectly acceptable in todays soceity.

My mum has been fabulous about the whole thing i hope yours is too

yeah i dont understand why older people are like that its annoying, i mean there are alot of single mothers out there, or un wed mothers and they do it perfactly fine and a lot of the time the even end up getting married any way... I hope she smartens up and relises you and your family has been blessed with a baby, even thou u are not married or what ever.. That baby is going to have no less love than any other child...

Yeah i am pretty sure my parents are going to be good about it, they said they would support me if anything like this happens .. and thanks i hope everything works out with your grandma everything

I would be pissed off too hun. When i found out i was pg, i told my sister, mum, grandparents, oh mum and dad. I dont get on well with my dad ever since my rents split up really, but i wanted to tell him myself face to face... instead he tells my sister on the phone that hes planning on moving abroad and she blurts it out to him (shes a spoilt brat who gets everything she wants!!) as she thinks it may make him wanna stay, blow me down he now wants to move back into the area and play a part in his granchilds life.... yet hes missed out and not shown an interest in mine since i was 13!!

Family ey!!

If you need to chat hun, just send me a pm

Some older relatives will always think they know better than their younger relatives (regardless of evidence to the contrary!), and they use this as justification for over-riding your decisions. This really drives me mad and I completely sympathise.

I think I would have to tell my nan that there was no excuse for betraying your trust and that her actions will make you think twice about confiding in her in the future.

Lx
