I am still waiting for a scan to tell me how far gone I am, but i reckon I am around eight weeks, I am continuing, daily, to get painful, period-like cramps and just wondered if this was normal??

Hi, i have never had cramps i'm afraid, but people do!

Could just be stretching pains as your uterus grows. I would go and see the doctor to talk about your concerns though.

I got really bad cramps on and off up until a couple of weeks ago... I still get them now but not as bad. It's just stretching but it is scary as they do feel like period cramps. Try not to worry too much. xxx

OH has very sligh cramping which she actual describes as like little razor blades. She says its no worse than period cramps. She's had it since day 1 - comes and goes.

Hi I have had these on & off for weeks now, maybe a couple of times a day. they are like dragging period pains.

I went & had an early scan today, and i told the nurse my concerns about these & she said they are absolutly normal, there is an awful lot going on in there so they are to be expected.

Take it as a sign things are progressing.

I had period style cramps when I first found out.. it's your uterus stretching =)

I have been having daily cramps since i got pregnant am 6+2 and still having them.. they just feel like period cramps and for a lot of women this is totally normal. It is a worry though you read the books and they tell you the cramps are nomal at the time your supposed to be having your period, but have spoken to tonnes of people and my midwife also tells me some people have them till the birth.
