Have you had any cramping? BRown blood is old blood so hopefully nothing to worry about but if you are worried call your midwife just to make sure. Hope you get sorted soon!

brown blood is usually old blood. A lot of women get it when its their normal cycle time or when they been . If you really think u've got an infection then ring the gp/mw before it gets any worse but again, a lot of women also seem to get lower back pain in the first tri.

No cramping but back pain and short stabbing pain down below, which im taking as stretching (...this is my 3rd baby). Would not have even thought of panicking if i didnt see the brown blood. I threatened to miscarry my little boy at 11 weeks so fingers crossed all is ok. Think ill see how it goes over the day and just rest....dont like to bother people incase its nothing. Thanks xxx

I would contact your MW to get a test for uti, this will put your mind at rest and if you do have a uti its best to get it treated as soon as possible.

If you have or suspect an infection you need to get an emergency appointment for today at ur GP. Kidney infections are really dangerous in pregnant women and if you DO have one you have to stay in hospital and be given IV antibiotics You maybe just have a UTI (infection in ur urinary tract) but if they arent treated quickly, they spread into your kidneys. Don't risk it, go get checked out.
